Many years ago a little thing called the iPhone came out. I swooned when an older gentlemen in the office brought his in and was fascinated by a phone that you just touch to operate. I've wanted one ever since then and have waited not so patiently for Sprint and Apple to finally make a deal. Since I'm on a special rate plan because my husbands friend is an employee, no way was I leaving Sprint. Even for an iPhone.
Everything finally aligned, my carrier got the phone and I was forced into purchasing a new one when Brady helped me out by doing this with my old Evo:
Leaving me phone-less just a few days before Valentine's day, the smart husband that he is, decided to buy it for me. Now I am the overly proud owner of the one and only iPhone.
And the real reason behind my obsession with the iPhone? Instagram. I've wanted to be on that band wagon for a long time now.
My user name is elizabethn22 if you're on there, if you're not but you want to follow along with the millions of pictures I'm snapping per hour you can just go to this link on Instagrid. Are you an Instagram-er?

Easy peasy heart map - with a free Photoshop file
I kept seeing people pin these super cute maps in the shapes of hearts over the summer like this one:
Each map could signify something different like where you met your husband, where you live, etc. I pinned it to my 'crafty' pinboard on Pinterest like all the other crafts I want to do but have no intent on actually accomplishing. But as our anniversary started rolling around I thought, I should make this happen.
I didn't have an old map, didn't want to buy one, so I came up with another idea that cost me $0.
Good ole Google came in to save the day with Google Maps and all I did was type in the location and copy, saved. Then, in Photoshop I simply added a text, a heart, and a clipping mask. Insert the file you saved, print and voila!
I used where we live, where we got married and the hospital where Brady was born. Then I used a frame I bought on sale that was waiting for a home and that was that. So easy. And if you'd like to get off even easier, here is my .psd file with the clipping mask. Just click here.
Now, I need to start tackling all the other DIY ideas I see floating around Pinterest!

A virtual valentine from Buggy
Too bad I never got around to printing these and mailing them out! Maybe I'll print just one for the baby book. (And by the way, I cannot for the life of me remember where I got this freebie, if you know, please tell me!)

Baby boy and baby girl sharing a room
Brady and Nameless Baby Girl will be sharing a room once she arrives. Our third bedroom is downstairs and not a good option for a wee babe. We used to have three upstairs until my husband decided to turn two into one for a large master suite, long before me and way long before babies.
Brady's nursery was a labor of love that Guy and I poured our hearts into. What an exciting time in our lives: our first baby.
Blue and brown just won't due for a little girl, so back to the drawing board we go. I've searched and searched and I think blue and red is what I like the best. Also, this stops us from having to repaint the blue walls. I am planning on painting over the brown stripe though.
I put most of Brady's elephant stuff on craigslist and it is so bittersweet. I'm really excited to change it up and come up with a fun, bright room for my kiddos. The sentiment doesn't hit me until I'm looking at these photos, because its been a while since its actually looked like this. Now there are toys strung about, a toddler bed added in and the dresser has since broke.
Pictures to come soon once I get things finished, um, I mean started. Seen any better options for a shared boy and girl bedroom? It's not too late to change the plan!

Project 366: fail
I was so inspired by Baby Makin' Machine last year and all of the amazing photos she took of her daughter and I wanted to try. I started of very motivated but quickly stopped finding the time to take a picture everyday. I'm letting myself off the hook and may try and start again next year, only documenting it entirely on my iPhone like Momtog does. That seems like it would make it easier.
May as well not let them go to waste though - here are the five days I actually accomplished:
Did you try Project 366 this year? Are you still truckin' along?
